"Kissing Couple" is depicted on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with shingled hip roof. The half-timbered framework makes for a friendly contrast to the walnut-stained solid-wood case. The Black Forest house is richly decorated with miniature windows with shutters, a balcony and a bell tower. The housefront is full of beautiful details, such as a wood shed with wood and straw, a water wheel, a wooden bench and a wagen, which makes a good perch for the cat. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour.  After the cuckoo calls on both the hour and half-hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. During the music, the couple kiss each other, while the water wheel moves to the music and the children dance on the balcony. The clockface and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is delivered in an original carton with instructions.
